4.6 The ``Single Prohibit'' option
This option is used to force a group of consecutive bases to be single-stranded. After this item is selected from the main menu, the user is prompted by: ``Enter base and length''. The historical 5′ base number of the segment, i, should be entered, followed by the number of bases that are to be single-stranded, k. Thus bases ri ,ri+1 , ... ,ri+k-1 are forced to be single-stranded.
